What sets Kindness apart?

We believe that delving deeper into yoga requires training that will develop both your skills and your heart. It demands an intimate setting where attention is personal, trainers create relationships with each of their students, and close bonds and long-term friendships blossom between trainees. It demands laughter as well as learning! We also believe that it takes a village – a diverse, inclusive community of teachers, classes, workshops, and students – all ready to help lift trainees to the height of their own unique potential.

That’s the kind of training program we have created.

In Yoga Teacher Training at Kindness you will learn the most critical skills of teaching yoga, including poses, alignment, speaking confidently from the heart, creative sequencing, and much more. But we will also facilitate your growth as a student so that you can continue to explore whatever calls out to you. You will be exposed to the enormous diversity Kindness Yoga has to offer, and have the opportunity to practice with great teachers in styles that you love.

Our approach emphasizes learning by doing and becoming part of something greater. You will practice the most important drills for building fluency as a teacher, speaker, and member of community. You will work creatively to deliver sequences, themes, and presentations.

At the end of your training, you will have the opportunity to gain even more practical experience and serve others by joining our mentoring program and teaching a donation-based class on the Kindness Yoga schedule!

We never stop being awed by the enduring friendships that blossom in these trainings, and the levels of success our graduates achieve. Teachers trained at Kindness are working and playing together here in Colorado… and all over the world! When you complete any Kindness Yoga training, you’ll become part of this broad network of colleagues and opportunities.

200-hour: the First Step link swirl

Our comprehensive 200-hour teacher trainings are an in-depth journey for two groups: dedicated students who wish to deepen their understanding of yoga, and those who hope to become yoga teachers. It’s an extraordinary opportunity designed to inform both your practice and your life. Taking one of these trainings is widely considered the first step towards teaching yoga, as either selfless service or a profession. Our curriculum exceeds Yoga Alliance standards, and upon completion students may register at the RYT-200 level.

300-hour: the Next Level link swirl

Our 300-hour teacher training is designed to help you become a leader and/or professional in your yoga community. You know the basics of leading a yoga class – now develop your authentic voice, refine your teaching skills and start offering your students more intelligent, effective and inspiring offerings.

Graduation from a 200-hour teacher training is a prerequisite for this program. It is preferred that your 200-hour training is Yoga Alliance-registered, so that upon completion of our 300-hour program, you may be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance and teach at the RYT-500 level.*  Once registered, an RYT-500 may provide credit-bearing continuing education classes and workshops to other yoga teachers.

*Those who did not graduate from a Yoga Alliance-registered 200-hour training may still participate in the 300-hour advanced course, but will not be eligible to register at the 500-level with Yoga Alliance.
